The breakfast was plentiful and only cost a few euros. The kitchen was open for guests to use and eggs were provided, which was a nice touch. The hostel had a great location, allowing for easy walks along the river and close proximity to the city center.
The rooms on the top floor were quite hot due to the windows being located in the roof. This made it uncomfortable to sleep, especially during sunny days.

The friendly, helpful staff created a welcoming and casual atmosphere. The common area was perfect for socializing with other guests over a glass of beer or wine. The towels were changed daily, and the terrace with the lawn was a nice addition. Its location was convenient, with a short walk to both the Gent-Dampoort and Gent-Sint-Pieters train stations.

The staff at this hostel were really friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate my late arrival and made sure I had a smooth check-in process. the cleanliness of the rooms and showers was also impressive. the breakfast provided was a great start to the day, with a variety of options including fruits, cereal, oats, cookies.
One major issue I had with this hostel was the lack of charging ports for the top bunks. It was inconvenient and unsafe to have to leave my devices charging on the ground where they were closer to other travelers than to me.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Kaba Hostel. As a solo traveler, I stayed in a single room with a private bathroom on the first floor. The room was clean and tidy, and I loved the charming theater-themed decor. The bed was firm, which was perfect for my back, and the staff was efficient and friendly. The location was great, just a short walk away from the city center. The hostel was quiet at night, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. The small breakfast, priced at only 4 €, was exactly what I needed to start my day, with options for fresh eggs and a simple spread of coffee, juice, bread, marmalade, and cornflakes.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
